The CHI flat iron by Farouk is an excellent hair straightening device. Out of all the different models out there I always come back to this one. The original flat iron which is black with gold plates is available in 1 inch or 2 inch widths. Personally I would recommend the 1 inch plates because even though they are smaller, they allow smaller sections of hair to be done, which generally provides better results. When I say this I mean, when you straighten your hair, if you do it in small increments, your results will come out flatter and straighter. Ultimately giving you the sexy and sultry look you want! This product uses an ergonomic design which ensures good posture for your wrists. Unlike most flat irons, this one has no temperature dial. Even though it doesn’t have a temperature dial it heats up ridiculously quickly, like in a minute or so, and works great! It only has an on and off switch which can be found on the inside of the device. The CHI is on one of the best hair straighteners out on the market and lasts a very long time. I have used other professional devices and none can compare to the life of this one. I have had mine for about 3 years now and not one problem has occurred. Sounds a little weird at first but once you try this product you will see that it does not die out easily! Another great feature of this is that it has a very long cord and a twisting handle. This allows you to move around the room while styling your hair. When you are doing your hair it is often necessary to change your grip during fast paced straightening but with the CHI you can easily change directions without having to reposition your hand on the flat iron. The CHI makes your hair feel silky smooth when you're through with it. It also leaves it nice and shiny which will absolutely be noticed. One of my favorite things about this item is that I always get compliments on how soft and straight my hair looks, which in the end, if you think about it, is great, because that’s exactly what you want. Why not have people complimenting your hair? One problem with buying these items is that most people immediately want to buy the most expensive one out there. This is a common mistake because I have bought expensive models and cheap models and now see that the price is not the main thing you need to look at. You need to read reviews about the life of the item and see if it gets hot enough for what you want to do with it. Once again, this item may not be the priciest on the market but I definitely think it’s the best. It can be bought at most stores for $119.99 but don’t be fooled because you can buy it online at various stores much cheaper and it IS the real deal. I have only bought this product online FYI =)
