It left my hair shiny and smooth and heated up really fast. This item uses 170 watts to speed up the heat-up time of the plates. This again is pretty quick but you can definitely find other hair straighteners that heat up quicker. Hot Tools is absolutely one of the best cheap models out on the market and has continued to sell out stores because of its high popularity and low price point. It has a simple design and has an 8 foot cord for easy moving around while styling. One really nice feature of this product is that it distributes heat evenly throughout the plates. This creates smooth straight hair quickly. It eliminates the need to repeatedly go over sections of hair and speeds up styling time. This item is not a wet to dry flat iron but the Hot Tools Company does make those. It is excellent for any hair type and can be purchased at most stores for $60.00.
